You’ve put together your site. You advertise your address on all of your literature. And yet surfers on the net rarely view your site. Your site simply isn’t listed in the search engines. How do you get high rankings in the search engines?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Search Engine Marketing (SEM) can be accomplished by following a few simple steps.
Determine your keywords.
Write the text of your site using your keywords frequently.
Incorporate your keywords into your page titles.
Use your keywords in your alt tags and meta tags.
After you complete these steps, work on submitting your site to as many search engines and directories as possible. There are many services that will do this for you. Or you can choose to do it yourself. SEM involves trying things over and over again. If you don’t succeed your first time in submitting, tweak your data and try again. The Internet is growing so fast, things change daily. Keep trying and adjusting to get to the position you desire.
